An organization can use internships as a way to expand their departments and accomplish more with less. Interns are not volunteers, they are actually temporary employees, whether paid or not, who are filling a specific role in an organization. Internships also provide organizations with innovative ways to explore new programs, take on pilot projects and assess the benefits of expanding staff in a certain direction before making a permanent hiring decision.
