AFP-GLAC is now accepting Chamberlain Scholarship applications for AFP’s 55th AFP International Fundraising Conference on Philanthropy to be held April 15-17, 2018 in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is a wonderful opportunity to attend your first international conference! Click on the links below for more information.
- Candidate is employed as a fundraising professional or, if candidate is an executive director, a substantial amount of time must be devoted to fundraising.
- Candidate has never attended an AFP or NSFRE International Conference on Fundraising as a registered participant (unless as a member of the Conference Host Committee).
- Candidate must agree to complete an online evaluation form about his or her experience at International Conference.
- Only one individual from any local organization or institution may be selected.
One candidate will be chosen by our Chapter Scholarship Committee to receive the Ralph E. Chamberlain Scholarship for the 55th Annual International AFP Conference. The award will cover conference registration fees, except for a $10 payment to secure registration.
In addition, this year’s Chamberlain Scholarship winner will be reimbursed up to $1,000 by AFP GLAC. These additional funds are to be used toward travel and lodging expenses only.
Expenses in excess of these two scholarships will be the responsibility of the scholarship winner.
Chamberlain Scholars are responsible for registering themselves for the conference and for making all travel and lodging arrangements.
The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy sponsors the Chamberlain Scholarship Program to help individuals serving nonprofit organizations to develop their knowledge and skill in fundraising. The scholarship honors the memory of Ralph E. Chamberlain, CFRE. AFP Chapters may name only one grant recipient per year.
