Reporting to the President/CEO as a key member of the leadership team, the Senior Vice President of Development will be responsible for managing the strategic direction and oversight of a comprehensive fund development program to ensure the organization’s ongoing success and sustainability. The successful candidate will be focused on building strategic alliances with diverse constituencies to drive major and planned giving commitments from funders and achieve fundraising goals. This individual will cultivate and grow a portfolio of donors while providing necessary leadership, motivation and support to a staff of up to eight. The Senior Vice President will play a pivotal role in the growth and evolution of this highly respected organization. Candidates will be expected to have experience leading and articulating a vision and plan for fundraising as well as the demonstrated ability to execute plans, reach goals, and develop staff and volunteers into a highly functioning team. The ability to passionately communicate ALZGLA’s mission is essential. The Senior Vice President of development should have a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible and successful fundraising experience, management experience of diverse development professionals, and experience working with board committees. Experience working in or a strong understanding of the Southern California region is a plus.
